01 / Brand identity
Backyard Brews
Sit back. Tune in. Grab a drink.
Backyard Brews is an entertainment podcast built around casual conversation and a featured drink that changes with each episode. The identity combines the warmth of backyard gatherings with visual references to beer culture and podcasting, creating a playful and approachable brand.

Process / identity development
From sketch to system
The completed system included a logo, podcast cover artwork, stickers, a promotional flyer, and an Instagram Story template. It started on paper.

Early sketches combined visual cues from beer culture and podcasting, merging a pint glass or barrel with the form of a microphone. That became the central idea behind the identity.

In Illustrator, I developed the beer-and-microphone concept through variations in typography, color, framing, and composition, gradually moving toward a circular emblem.

The final emblem combines the strongest elements: the beer microphone, concentric framing, highlighted lettering, and wheat details. It feels playful and holds up across the campaign.

Beyond the screen
The flyer pairs an oversized stacked headline with the icon mark and a Spotify code, so anyone who sees it can start listening on the spot. Stickers put the brand on laptops, coolers, and water bottles.
